The Polaris Art Studio has been decades in the making. Only now it is moving forward into this century with an online presence. Having a website is a new venture for the Studio, as is shipping nationally, so your patience is appreciated as we work through our best practices. They say that necessity is the mother of invention, and along those lines the Studio was originally established. Art is not just made for art’s sake, but it serves a purpose; in other words, practical art. Just because it’s practical, doesn’t mean it can’t also be beautiful.
The Studio began with friends and family members each needing something specific. Often the phrase “I need (fill in the blank), can you make it for me?” And thus began the journey into many different mediums (stained glass, pottery, pen & ink, polymer clay, acrylic paints, various print graphic design projects,…the list goes on to other mediums, and now this web thing has been an adventure all on it’s own too).
Right now, we are blurring the boundaries of fine art and fine crafts for the best in practical art, specializing in wall art. Check out the wall hanging flowers that are NOT made of paper. Light-weight and durable, there are two design types, Simply Fun, and Semi Gallery. An online shop will be set up via Etsy.com in the near future (but just not yet), for your convenience.
